Xeina Ccallo is a young woman from Yanque, a small town in the Highlands of Peru. In 2015, Xeina graduated from Quechua Benefit's Casa Chapi School in Chivay, Peru. Xeina, then 13 years old, moved to Bend as the first student to participate in Quechua Benefit's Partner School Exchange. Xeina currently attends and plans to graduate high school from Cascades Academy. Most young children in the Peruvian Highlands are taught dance from a very young age, with each region having their own specific dance and costume. Xeina has travelled and performed across the United States with the Matsiko World Orphan Choir.
